Who is MOBA?

MOBA is a partnership between Mike Morita and Eric Bauer. It combines Eric’s quality craftsmanship and attention to detail with Mike’s project management and dedication to client outcomes. This allows our firm to deliver your high-end design with our well-managed process, and take the stress out of your home construction project.

Eric Bauer

At MOBA, Eric ensures that your project will be designed and built to meet your individual needs. As Construction Manager, he is responsible for the safety and effectiveness of each project site, and the crew and subcontractors who work on it.

Eric moved to Seattle in 2008 after getting his Masters in Landscape Architecture at University of Michigan. Since his arrival, he has helped create comfortable and creative spaces for homeowners and businesses throughout the city.

Seattle can feel like a small town at times – there is a good chance that you know someone who has worked with Eric to improve their home. Or if you have been to Shorty’s in Belltown, Lowercase Taproom in South Park, or Urban Family Taproom in Ballard, you have enjoyed a space that Eric helped create.

The oddest payment Eric ever bartered for a project was when he received his boat, Poqui, in exchange for remodeling a bathroom. He doesn’t expect to do that again (unless you have a bigger boat.)

Mike Morita

Mike is our General Manager, and your main contact at MOBA.

You need to know what to expect with your project – who will be on site, what work will be done, or how the budget looks. Don’t worry, he’s on it. It’s Mike’s job to keep you informed, manage the budget, stay on schedule, and make sure you’re comfortable with the project’s progress.

For over a decade Mike has operated client-focused businesses in Seattle. Clients appreciate Mike’s communication throughout an engagement and have praised his ability to clearly set expectations for each phase of a project.

The oddest bonus Mike ever received was 25 lbs of crab. He thinks that was great, and would like it to happen again.
